Today has definitely been such a fun day! For those of you who know me, know how much of a grandma I am and how I barely go out. So today my dear friend Jeremy dragged me out of my house and into West Side Story Spanish Harlem for the Puerto Rican festival where I ate bacalaitos, pork, canoas, and Piña Colada. Google it or ask your local Puerto Rican. I am definitely not Puerto Rican but I grew up with the fun people, food and music. Being around people who are so proud of who they are and where they come from has pumped me up for my vacation to my homeland Ecuador in August.

Los que me conocen saben lo aburrida que soy y que no salgo mucho pero hoy mi querido amigo Jeremy me saco de la casa y a spanish harlem donde hubo el festival puertorriqueño. Por ratos sentia que estaba en una escena musical de West Side Story. Comi de todo y baile como loca! Estar rodeada de gente tan alegre y orgullosos de donde vienen me han emocionado mucho mas para ir a mis vacaciones a Ecuador en Agosto.
