I tried to wear Victoria Beckham’s collection but it didn’t fit

As a 90’s baby, I was more than excited when I heard about the Victoria Beckham X Target collaboration. I always struggled between being Posh or Sporty spice and I thought this would help me find my true inner spice girl.

After seeing the lookbook I wasn’t sold on it. The models and styling on the site didn’t do it for me.

It wasn’t until I saw Nicolette Mason try on the black and white tulip skirt on her IG story that I was convinced about the collection. I made a huge order and waited patiently for my package to arrive.

And waited, and waited some more.

My package was officially over one month late. I had already seen my friends slay in these outfits. I contacted Target and notified them that my order was late and they re-sent my order.

After waiting over a month to receive my package I tried item after item and nothing seemed to fit me right.

But all of a sudden I saw an orange floral light at the end of the tunnel.

These were the only two items that actually fit me out of my entire $300 purchase. I was wearing both items in a 3X and the fit wasn’t great. The skirt was too big I felt like I  was literally hula hooping while walking around in it.

The orange floral print gave me this 70’s/90’s vibes and I went for it.JessMay3_3.png

I added my new favorite sunglasses as the cherry on top.

FINAL THOUGHTS

  • The #VBXTARGET collection was pretty for spring and summer.
  • I had a really hard time getting consistency within the collection. Certain items that were a 3X were too big and others were too small.
  • Keep in mind that the cut of most of the clothes were not made for apple/pear shapes but for people who have a straight figure.
